Shamokin Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania
Shamokin Township is a township in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,159 at the 2000 census.
The city of Shamokin does ''not'' sit within the boundaries of Shamokin Township. but inside Coal Township bordering it to the south.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 31.1 square miles (80.7 km²), of which, 31.0 square miles (80.4 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (0.32%) is water.
